Process
Sargasso seeks to identify leaders across environmental areas through a proprietary environmental leadership model coupled with deep, fundamental, bottom-up environmental and financial research and analysis.
Team
The Sargasso investment team is purpose-built to tackle the challenge of identifying and investing in environmental leaders. The team has global experience in public equity investing, corporate environmental policy, renewable energy, and corporate strategy.
Steinberg Asset Management (SAM)
SAM serves as the investment manager for the Sargasso Environmental Strategy. SAM is a New York-based investment management firm with over 35 years of experience in managing value equity portfolios for institutions, endowments, and high net worth individuals. In addition to Sargasso Environmental, the firm and its affiliates manage two other public equity strategies: an all-cap U.S. value equity strategy and an India smid-cap strategy.
